Apply now to receive pro-bono support to implement your green stormwater infrastructure project!

The Water Center's strategic partner, the WaterNow Alliance, announced that applications for the Southwest Pennsylvania Project Accelerator are open!

Project Accelerator provides cities, towns, and utilities with up to 250 hours of free program assistance tailored to their local priorities, over the course of 6-9 months. Accelerator efforts can include: support in applying for state/federal grant or other financing opportunities; policy guidance; research and analysis; program design; and/or community stakeholder outreach, among other activities.

This Accelerator round will focus on supporting some aspect of the implementation of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) as a stormwater management strategy. For example, projects might include (but are absolutely not limited to) developing a GSI operations and maintenance strategy, pursuing support from Pennsylvania’s State Revolving Fund, or implementing collaborative approaches to develop and maintain GSI installations. But the WaterNow Alliance is most interested in providing capacity and support for GSI initiatives that reflect your local priorities. The goal of the Accelerator is to bring additional resources to bear to facilitate and accelerate adoption of GSI strategies at larger scale.

Applications are due by August 4th, 2023. If you have any questions, or would like to talk through potential project ideas, please reach out to Amy Weinfurter (aw@waternow.org) and Emerson O’Donnell (eo@waternow.org) at WaterNow Alliance.
