In August 2024, thanks to grant funding from Spring Point Partners - a Philadelphia based social impact organization that champions community-driven change and promotes justice by investing in transformational leaders, networks and solutions - the Water Center is continuing the Regional Network Collaborative for Water Leadership, (“Leadership Collaborative”) with our second cohort that will run from September 2024 through May 2025.
The Leadership Collaborative is made up of a diverse set of professionals based in the greater Philadelphia region who are working to address water issues in their communities. Through the Collaborative, the Water Center will provide a peer-to-peer issue/solutions exchange environment; offer workshop-style learning with academic, non-profit, and private industry leaders; enhance cross-sector collaboration; and create a supportive space for the building of long-lasting professional relationships between Leadership Collaborative members. Most importantly, we want to create a space where cohort members feel supported, ask important questions, and build relationships with their peers to help them succeed in their roles.
We are pleased to announce our second cohort for the Leadership Collaborative, listed below:
- Sarah Bursky, National Park Service
- Deandrah Cameron, New Jersey Future
- Jeremy Clark, Entech Engineering
- Andrew Collier, Veolia
- Lyndon DeSalvo, The Nature Conservancy
- Emily Goldstein, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission
- Kate Hutelmyer, Chester County Water Resources Authority
- Michelle Mancuso, American Water
- Colleen McGuire, River Network
- Renee Reber, National Parks Conservation Association
- Maddie Spinner, New Jersey American Water
- Carla Windt, Philadelphia Water Department
The cohort will convene monthly from September 2024 through May 2025 for challenge discussions and leadership workshops.
In addition to the discussions and workshops, we plan to harness the Collaborative’s momentum of information sharing and engagement by bringing the cohort’s experience to enhance the Water Center’s annual Careers in the Water Industry event and Spring Water Policy Forum.
